It is finally starting to cool down here in Chico, CA! The mornings are crisp and cold yet by the afternoon there is still a hint of summer lingering around. Hot, fresh brewed coffee is a must in the mornings, and layers are much encouraged, especially if your day starts early.
If it’s not the boots that get you excited for fall it has to be the sweaters and jackets! There is something about layering up and getting all cozy in a soft knitted sweater that has us reminiscing of trips to the pumpkin patch and jumping in a fresh pile of leaves (because lets face it, no matter how hard we try to hide it, we will forever be kids at heart).
Some of our favorite pieces right now are sweater dresses, they mix the joy of a sweater with the cuteness of a dress…and they look great with boots! Volcom has come out with a few sweater dresses we just can’t get enough of and mixing and matching tights and boot socks adds a fun twist to a simple style. Cardigans and wraps are another must have! Many can be worn year round, but the ones catching our eyes this season are the fun tribal prints and woven patterned wraps. They are so fun to mix and match and are a great layering item!

Deep Lichen Green, Linden Green, Carafe and Turbulence create the perfect camo this season. With the camo-trend going strong there are now a plethora of ways to incorporate it into your wardrobe. One of our favorite ways this season is the camo jacket. We love how Gentle Fawn mixes camo with olive green accents in their “Archer Jacket” and adds brown vegan leather to the yolk of the jacket, creating a rugged or “tough” edge to the jacket and a draw string around the waist allows for a more flattering, feminine shape.
